Catharine Cary

Catharine Cary is a scenographer, improvisor, and researcher. By co-composing spaces at the intersection of writing, installation and generosity, Catharine practices a new rhythming of social movement. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Royal College of Art in London in improvisation, through which she has landed at Erin Manning’s SenseLab in Montreal. Her work has been published in Movement Research’s Critical Correspondence and has been shown in the Venice Biennale. One of her paintings hangs on a yacht between a Diebenkorn and a Motherwell.
