Christopher DeLaurenti brings his microphones into unusual soundscapes, including political protests, abandoned nuclear power stations, and orchestra intermissions. Christopher’s sound works have appeared on many albums, notably To the Cooling Tower, Satsop (2015); No Sound is Stolen: Fair Use Music 1983-2013 (2013); of silences intemporally sung: Luigi Nono’s Fragmente-stille, An Diotima (2011); Favorite Intermissions (2008); and N30: Live at the WTO Protest November 30, 1999 (2000). Christopher’s articles, scores, and essays have appeared in magazines, books, and journals, including The Believer, New Music Box, Soundscape: The Journal of Acoustic Ecology, Musicworks, and in the anthology Environmental Sound Artists.
