Michael Hunter

Michael Hunter is an educator, writer, theatre director and performance curator living in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. He is a co-founding artistic director of the SF-based theatre company Collected Works, and the founder of the Franconia Performance Salon, which incubates and shares new performance works.

Michael holds an MA in literature from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and a PhD in Drama from Stanford University, where he was also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Humanities. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Critical Studies at California College of the Arts in the Bay Area, and a Senior Lecturer at Otis College of Art & Design in LA.
