Chris Kohn

Chris Kohn is a theatre director based in Melbourne. He has been the Artistic Director of Stuck Pigs Squealing since co-founding the company in 2000. Chris has been Artistic Director of Arena Theatre Company (2008-12) and La Boite Theatre Company (2014). He was the inaugural Theatre Diversity Associate for the Australia Council and Arts Queensland (2012-14). His work as director has been developed and presented at Malthouse, Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir, Brisbane Powerhouse, Arts House, Adelaide Festival Centre, Perth Festival, Melbourne Festival, Arts Centre, PS-122, Ontological and Les Couvent des Recollects, Paris. He has received the George Fairfax Memorial Award, Malcolm Robertson Award, Green Room Awards for Direction and Writing and a Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship. He is currently Coordinator of the Master of Directing for Performance at Victorian College of the Arts, where he is completing his PhD on Theatres of Intellectual Disability and Neurodiversity.
