Drew Klein

Drew Klein is a performance curator currently based in Brussels. Since 2011, he has served as Performing Arts Director at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, establishing the institution’s first program dedicated to performance. His implemented programs include the Black Box Performance Series (2011-2019), the annual interdisciplinary festival This Time Tomorrow (2019 – present), and the discourse series Goetta-Institut (2019 – present). Crafting a prominent platform for international exchange in North America, he has provided continental premieres for artists like Ingri Fiksdal, Kate McIntosh, Jisun Kim, and Mithkal Alzghair. He has exclusively and co-commissioned performance projects by Kaneza Schaal, jumatatu poe & Donte Beacham, Jens Lekman, Raquel André, Eddy Kwon, Lorena Molina, Radouan Mriziga, and more. Drew has collaborated as a visiting curator and lecturer at organizations such as Fusebox Festival (Austin), Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (Portland, Oregon), DiverseWorks (Houston), University of Cincinnati, and Art Academy of Cincinnati, among others.
