Hollace Starr

Hollace Starr is an associate professor of theatre at Pepperdine University, where she teaches, facilitates voice and dialects, and directs. In winter 2020, Hollace directed the West Coast Premiere of Mike Bartlett’s Earthquakes In London at Rogue Machine Theatre in Venice, CA. Other directing credits include Falling, Circle Mirror Transformation, and Eurydice at Pepperdine, and Three Views Of The Same Object at Rogue Machine. Hollace is a designated Linklater Voice teacher and a lifetime member of The Actors Studio. In March 2020, she was midway through rehearsals of Tom Stoppard’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard when the production was abruptly cancelled and the entire production team dispersed. Since then, she has been working online, watching online, and dreaming of a different future.
