Maribel Bello
Maribel Bello nació en Cuajimalpa, México y sigue creciendo en Houston, TX. Recibió su Maestría en Estudios Latinoamericanos por UT Austin y actualmente es candidata al doctorado en Estudios Hispanos con concentración en Escritura Creativa en la Universidad de Houston. Recientemente se ha convertido en cazafantasmas y detective de casas “vacías” que migrantes mexicanos, provenientes de Puruagua, Guanajuato, construyen desde USA con la fantasía de habitarlas algún día. Como parte de sus procesos creativos, incorpora metodologías de teatro que siempre le ayudan a mirar, pensar y escribir, sino mejor, más feliz.
Maribel Bello was born in Cuajimalpa, Mexico and continues to grow up in Houston, TX. She received her MA in Latin American Studies from UT Austin and is currently a PhD candidate in Hispanic Studies with a Concentration in Creative Writing at the University of Houston. She has recently become a ghost hunter and detective of “empty” houses that Mexican migrants from Puruagua, Guanajuato, are building from the USA with the fantasy of living there one day. As part of her creative processes, she incorporates different theater methodologies that always help her to imagine, think and write, if not better, at least happier.
