Silverio Orduña Cruz

Silverio Orduña Cruz (Ecatepec, Mexico, 1987) is a curator, art historian, and journalist. He studied Communication Science and has a Master’s degree in Art History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His curatorial research is oriented to the problematization of the body in contemporary art and choreographic strategies within the exhibition space of museums and galleries. He has also developed a study on the urban periphery and the artistic practices that take place on the margins of the art circuit. He currently works as a curator at Proyecto Siqueiros: La Tallera, and collaborates with Alma Quintana on the artistic platform “¿Cómo encender un fósforo? Research Practices: Dance, Choreography, Performance.” He is also a professor of Mexican modern and contemporary art.
